How it works

Connect a YouTube channel, pick a video, add thumbnail/title variants, and start a test.

We rotate assets via the YouTube API and allocate more traffic to winners using a multi-armed bandit — not a blind 50/50 forever.

Measurement reality

YouTube’s API does not expose true thumbnail CTR/impressions. We use available proxies (and optional Studio data where supported) with windows that respect analytics lag.

Metric goal

Default objective favors clicks that stick (CTR × retention style scoring) so pure clickbait does not win by default.
